Eshal Ahmad ‘26 was recently selected as a 2025 Carson Scholar, a national scholarship award bestowed by the Caron Scholars Fund.
With this honor, Ahmad receives a $1,000 scholarship to be invested for her college education, along with a medal and certificate.
Why it matters: The Carson Scholars Fund annually awards $1,000 college scholarships to students in grades 4 through 11 who excel academically and are dedicated to serving their communities.
What they’re saying: In her acceptance letter, Ahmad was described as demonstrating “the highest standards of academic achievement, integrity, and civic and social responsibility.”
Between the lines: Eligible students must attend an accredited K-12 school in the United States and be nominated by an educator at their school. Only one student from each school can apply.
Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.75 and demonstrate exceptional humanitarian qualities through community service.
What’s next: Ahmad will be honored with her family, peers, and educators during the 2025 Annual Pittsburgh Awards Banquet.
